Apps : Coming: Super-Lua-Mario
Posted by yashamaru on 2008/8/19 8:50:00 (1868 reads)

The other day I talked to someone ( Sorry, I forgot your irc nick ) on #psplua ( irc channel on irc.rizon.net ) He said how a super mario brothers clone with a level editor could be fun. I thought about it, and got to work.

Image from super-lua-mario -level editor- version 0.0

Now this is just the level editor and it's very new but you can see how it's coming. The editor can do up to 26 screens per level. The biggest level in the original game is 13 screens ( world 8-1 ). More info to come.

Editor can now add decals. It's starting to look nice.

Readmore - World 1-1 - The other 6 screens ( before decals )

Apps : Just got a Slim PSP, Vacation over
Posted by yashamaru on 2008/4/3 13:24:40 (485 reads)

Well I'm back from my very long vacation away from the PSP scene. Many things have happen and lots of great homebrew app have been released. All of you that know me and this site know I don't post anything I don't or can't test. Since most of the new homebrew and hacks have been for the PSP slim, I had to go and buy a 4th PSP. Now I can test releases, so watch for updates.

I've got some requests to repack PSP Duck Hunt v0.4 so it will be playable on the slim ( 3.xx kernel ). Ive been working on it so look for a re-release next week.

Targus PA870U Universal Wireless Keyboard

The Targus PA870U Universal Wireless Keyboard
Is the keyboard to have for anyone with a homebrew ready PSP. This IR keybaord works with pikey (IR keyboard plugin). I have tested it (yes, I have one) and it works in games, menus, homebrew, and even the web browser. With more and more homebrew devs adding pikey support and since it works great. It could be a good time to get it.

Apps : PSP Box Code - What Firmware is it?
Posted by yashamaru on 2006/12/15 12:00:00 (3332 reads)

People keep asking, so here it is again..A-K

I’ve received a lot of questions about what firmware versions are in the boxes at stores. It's easy to check the boxes at your local stores by looking under the voltage rating for a letter. Letters A-K will give you (full) homebrew and remember don't update

Apps : SanDisk And Sony Develop Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo Format
Posted by yashamaru on 2006/12/11 8:43:38 (2592 reads)

SanDisk® Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) and Sony Corporation today announced the development of the “Memory Stick PRO-HG” format expanded from the “Memory Stick PRO” format.

The new “Memory Stick PRO-HG” media uses an enhanced, 8-bit parallel interface in addition to a conventional serial and 4-bit parallel interface. The interface clock frequency also increases to 60MHz from 40MHz. This means that maximum data transfer speed increases up to 480Mbps, or 60MB/s (theoretical value), three times as fast as that of “Memory Stick PRO” media. The minimum write speed at 8-bit parallel transfer is 120 Mbps, or 15MB/s*1. These enhancements allow large data amounts of up to several gigabytes to be quickly transferred, as well as the real-time recording of high-resolution video and still images.

Licensing for the development of “Memory Stick PRO-HG” compliant host devices is scheduled for January 2007.

The PSP GPS Receiver is now on sale in Japan (and online). Play-Asia has the GPS for US$59.90. Now the real question is will this work in devhook 51 emulated 3.01/3.02? (it should) I don't know as of yet, but as soon as I get my hands on one I'll let you know.
